The Global Association of Economics Education (GAEE) is pleased to share that our latest campaign #GAEEforAsia has been recognized by the United Nations as a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). The initiative is listed as #SDGACTION36897 in the official agenda of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), which can be accessed through this link: https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/partnership/?p=36897

The campaign has attracted considerable attention from the academic and activist communities. It was featured on the website of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and gives GAEE Founder Le Dong Hai Nguyen a place in the Fellowship Spotlight of the RSA. In Northern India alone, over thirty universities and institutions have expressed interest in joining the project, including the University of Delhi and the National Council of Educational Research and Training. In Korea, GAEE hosted an essay contest on the North Korean economy in partnership with the Ministry of Unification and a business case competition in partnership with ROX Gaming. The competitions were featured on global media sites such as the Big News Network and Dong-a Ilbo.

Despite the advent of the pandemic, various workshops and discussions have been hosted by local and regional chapters, featuring world-renowned experts from Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai to Tim Harford.
