We are happy to announce that the Global Association of Economics Education (GAEE) have been recently recognized as a member of WEA’s student network alongside organizations like Rethinking Economics and ISIPE that are in the frontline of economics education reforms all over the world.

The World Economics Association (WEA) is a prestigious professional associated launched in 2011 with the mission of promoting a pluralistic approach to economics. It publishes three open peer-reviewed academic journals — Economic Thought, World Economic Review, and real-world economics review — and dedicated its open access and online conferences towards the revolution of economics education, a movement that GAEE ourselves has been a part of since our inception in 2017.

Since WEA’s establishment, the association has facilitated six institutes, seven national chapters and inducted 72 student groups across 25 countries in its movement. Among such organizations, WEA’s global groups have since counted notable names such as Rethinking Economics, International Student Initiative for Pluralism in Economics (ISIPE), Oikos and Kick It Over. We are happy to announce that the Global Association of Economics Education (GAEE) have been recently recognized as a member of WEA’s student network alongside organizations that are in the frontline of economics education reforms all over the world.

Hannah Nguyen, GAEE’s Public Relations Manager, said that WEA’s induction of GAEE into its prestigious students’ network is “a testament to the efforts and impacts [of GAEE] on the empowerment and reform of economics education across eight countries.”
