The Global Association of Economics Education announces today that selected members in its worldwide network can opt in the BETA Testing Program for its GAEE’s Home App, the first Economics Learning online platforms for all major operating systems. The App, which is being developed by the Education CORE Team and various technology developer volunteers from the XDA-Developers Forum, features an interactive platform of minigames, lessons, quizzes and on-demand webinars. Many surveys are being conducted among GAEE’s Network to examine new ideas and features such as a credit system that awards points for lesson completion, which can be redeemed into coupons, giftcards or scholarships. Some proposals also introduce a direct chat system for communication among 1500+ members of GAEE. The BETA signup link is available for selective members in the Members Area. The Education CORE Team warns that many bugs are expected in early stages of the App.
If you don’t see the BETA Sign up link in your Members Area and want to opt in the program, please send a message to your local representative to see if you meet the requirement. Public BETA testing stage will begin next year and the App is expected to be available in iOS’s App Store in Spring 2020, followed by Android’s Google Play Store and a web platform for desktop.

GAEE is closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. We’ve taken actions to cancel all assemblies, meetings, workshops, and conferences hosted by GAEE and our affiliated network at the moment, regardless of local conditions. Read the full letter from the Executive Team here.
