The Global Association of Economics Education (GAEE) is proud to announce the successful participation of our India national chapter (GAEE India) as an official session partner at the Delhi University Literature Festival (DU Litfest 2025). This prestigious three-day literary event, held in the heart of Delhi University’s North Campus, brought together distinguished speakers, academics, and students to engage in meaningful dialogue on economics, policy, and international relations.

GAEE India served as the exclusive session partner for a conversation with H.E. Dr. S. Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister of India. Our team also served as one of the session partners for Dr. Arvind Panagariya, Chairman of the 16th Finance Commission of India, First Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, and former Chief Economist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The sessions attracted significant attention, with GAEE India mobilizing 116 attendees to participate in the discussions. In recognition of their leadership and organizational contributions, Shivalee Duara, GAEE India Chairperson, and Aarti Rajput, GAEE India Vice-Chairperson, were felicitated on stage during the event.

“As a team, we have strived to be session partners so that we can continuously work to foster economic discourse while also giving a nod to the interdisciplinary essence of economics as a subject,” said Shivalee Duara. “Contributing to these insightful sessions and being felicitated by key figures shaping India’s economic and foreign policy landscape is a significant milestone for GAEE India and its chapters,” noted Aarti Rajput.

“Our partnership with the DU Literature Festival represents GAEE’s commitment to bringing economics education and policy discussions to students across India,” said Le Dong Hai Nguyen, Global Chair of GAEE. “We are particularly proud of our India chapter for facilitating these important conversations with key policymakers.”

The partnership with DU Literature Festival aligns with GAEE’s global mission to democratize access to economics education and foster engagement between students and policymakers. Founded in 2020, GAEE India has established chapters across multiple prestigious colleges in Delhi and continues to expand its network and influence.

The Delhi University Literature Festival 2025 featured numerous other prominent speakers, panel discussions, and cultural events, establishing itself as a significant platform for intellectual exchange within Delhi University.
